DeMolay Month Award
Formerly Galloping Gavel
Presented by Overley Chapter 1951

Description
The Award for the DeMolay Month Award is the
Galloping Gavel which was presented to the State
Association by Overlea Chapter Order of DeMolay
in 1951. The gavel is over 4 feet tall and
is made of solid wood and weighs approximately
15lbs. The Gavel also comes with a
protective bag for carrying made of dark blue
satin.
This award is given annually
to the chapter that has the best DeMolay Month
Program during
March of each year.
Runs from March 1st to March 31st
of each year.

The winning chapter chosen by the committee as having
the best DeMolay Month program will receive the
Galloping Gavel DeMolay Month Award to display
in your chapter for one year.
The Galloping Gavel used to be an award that was
traded between chapters for bringing the most
members and/or traveling the greatest distance
when visiting another chapter.
