The Mom Sheila
Davis Fund
Executive Officer, William Eppig, the
Maryland State Association of DeMolay Chapters
(MSADC) and the DeMolay Foundation have started
the Mom Sheila Davis Fund. This fund will allow
for tax deductable donations to be made to the Davis family to assist them with medical bills
and renovations to their home as Mom Davis
continues to fight Glioblastoma, a type of brain
cancer.
Mom and Dad Davis have been and continue to be
intrugral parts of the MSADC for many years as
well as the Masonic family. Mom Davis is a Past Honored
Queen of Bethel #61, Past Grand Bethel Honored
Queen of Md. and Guardian Secretary Bethel #22
Jobs Daughters of Maryland. She is also Past
Worthy Matron Kensington #39 OES. She is
currently the State Sweetheart Director for MD.
DeMolay and an Advisor for Catonsville Chapter
Order of DeMolay. Dad J.C. Davis is a Past
Master Councilor of Catonsville Chapter Order of
DeMolay, Past State Master Councilor of MD and
the current Ritual Director of Catonsville
Chapter Order of DeMolay. Dad J.C. is a member
of Palestine Lodge #189, Captain of the Host for
Druid Royal Arch Chapter # 28, member of Hiram
Council #5 and Crusade Commandery #5. Dad J.C.
is the 1st Lieutenant Commander of
the Council of Kadosh, 32 degree KCCH and is
employed by the Scottish Rite as their Office
Assistant. |
This fund
was started as the result of concerned members
of our Masonic family. Mom Davis has had three surgeries to try to
eradicate the cancer. The last surgery has her
confined to a motorized chair for now, and
limited use of her left side. As with many
surgeries and medical battles of this type, the
medical bills can be daunting. We hope to help
Mom and Dad Davis weather the storm and keep the
medical bills and home renovations expenses from
taking over their lives. Renovations are needed
to allow for the motorized chair so she can
navigate inside their home as well as having a
ramp built for her to be able to leave their
home.
There are no more deserving people than the
Davis’. Mom Sheila and
Dad J.C. would never have asked for this help.
We feel that in the true spirit of Masonic
relief of worthy distressed brethren, the
DeMolay virtues of Courtesy and Kindness that
this is the proper action to take for two fine
people.
Please consider
this worthy cause and show the world what being
part of the Masonic Fraternity is truly about.
