Dad Ronald J. Shaver Ritual Competition 2023

Building Tomorrows Leaders

The 2023 MSADC Dad Ronald J. Shaver Ritual Competition for all individual and team contests, including Chapter Proficiency, will be held during Conclave this year at Salisbury University from July 14th-16th.

All competitors must have stood proficiency on both Obligations, except for parts in Chapter Proficiency.

Team competitions do not have to be composed of the currently installed Chapter line officers. Chapter Proficiency teams should use either the current line of installed officers, or the line of officers from the previous term of office.

All mandatory equipment items will be provided, or permission will be granted to simulate them. Optional items might not be provided, so you may bring your own if you desire to use them.

Competitors must preregister for competitions, including Chapter Proficiency, through their Advisors by July 1st. Please specifically note if any competitor IS NOT also registering for Conclave. DeMolays are welcome to participate in the ritual competition without registering for Conclave, but may not participate in any meals or Conclave activities. The tentative judging schedule will be emailed to the competing Chapters by July 8th.

Judges are also requested to email Dad Watson by July 1st if they will be able to assist at the competition, so he can set up the panels.

The MSADC Dad Ronald J. Shaver Ritual Competition follows the Region II Mid-Atlantic Tournament of Champions system. Contest Specifics and Rules are available on the MATOC web site:
